The last 6 weeks!

A lot has happened in the last 6 weeks, so I'm going to start with the most recent and work my way backwards...... and it's been a busy one:)

The most recent being my brothers family welcomed home a baby boy. Drew Edward Holtz was born Tuesday March 22, 2011 weighing 7#14 oz. We are so very thankful and happy Katie's pregnancy is over for her, she has struggled for the last 5 months passing kidney stones on a regular basis. So, here are some pictures of the new little peanut, he is soo adorable and reminds me of my brother:)
Congratulations, Andrew and Katie!

The happy sisters and happy cousins. Andrea 7, Claire 5, Berkley 3. JD 5, and Ella, 2 1/2.
The New Holtz family, Congratulations!
With Drew not being the only new addition to our family, we came home from church on the 20th, (March, 2010) with 2 small chicks........... yes baby chicks, and I do need to mention that Rick said no! (with his arms raised:)

So, the childrens story was about choosing life and living it. There were many analogies with this story, choosing a real flower over a fake flower, choosing a basket of real fruit instead of a bowl of fake fruit and finally, choosing baby chicks instead of a basket of eggs. You could just tell all of the parents were filled with thoughts of, "please don't suggest they bring them home" and sure enough they did. All is well the kids have enjoyed watching them grow... daily, we will only be able to keep them a short while longer because they are starting to fly.

Just a week before that we had a very special boy turning 5. I can't believe he is getting so big. He has surprised me with his recent interest and picking up of letters and words/spelling.

JD and Mom spent the day before his birthday at school with some fun "Spidyman" cupcakes and it was his sharing time as well.

The next day we had his birthday party at home with family at our house, but before the party Aunt Rita had let us know that Gus and Zoey's school was doing a fundraising bazaar. The kids had so much fun! Here is JD with Zoey doing "Just Dance" on the WII.

The next day he wanted some pictures of some of his new "stuff" he was so excited. In some of the pix's below he is painting his new airplane that Jamie and Russ got him and as you can see Ella is supervising:)

Rick has also had the opportunity to finish up his latest woodworking project........ well he is actually finishing up another one too, but that is a gift. This one is something for one of Rick's customers clients in which they wanted wine racks for 300 bottles of wine....... WaahhhllaaaH! It turned out so nice, I'm so proud of him, he is so very talented!
