Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, the Easter bunny found our house yesterday morning, (in the rain too!) I had to try to catch a few pictures before we headed to church, we had a good day with a lot of food, more egg hunts, whiffle ball and good fellowship!

Here is a JD funny!

This is a funny for the moms out there who try on a regular basis to get their kids to eat their greens, fruits and of course other veggies. (in which I'm very fortunate because my kids tend to like most of those foods mentioned)

So, Thursday night I pick up the kids from Jessi's and we need to get home quickly to grab a bite to eat and then head to the food pantry, they had a load of food coming in and needed help unloading. The kids and I get home and Rick had turned on the crock pot to warm a turkey breast I had cooked the previous day, (by the way, oh so yummy, thanks Jamie:). As it ends up we had 15 min's before we needed to leave, so we ended up just grabbing some turkey to snack on before we left thinking we would just come home and finish our dinner. We headed out and ended up standing around talking after we unloaded the truck and finally left around 7:30pm, as we are driving home I mentioned having ice cream for dinner, mind you, ...... I never do that. So we had ice cream for dinner at the "DQ."

The next day we had JD's 5 yr well child visit with Dr Morgan, whom our family just loves. She checked JD out and everything is looking good and of course as she does every visit, she asks JD if he is eating his fruits and veggies and still liking them?? Of course, the only thing I can think of is, how I fed my kids ice cream the night before, and sure enough he says, "Dr Morgan, well I had ice cream last night for dinner." Rick said that he has never seen my face turn soooo red, and not that I could leave it at that, I then tried to explain myself ........... I'm giggling to myself as I share; all I can say is the "ice cream for dinner" truly bit me in the rear:)
