Family Ice skating, here we come 2014 olympics!

Well, thats just funny to even think about, but we sure did have a great time. We went to the local ice rink and rented our skates, (Ella's feet were so small the smallest they had were too big, but we tried) and rented 2 of these walker type contraptions and JD tried it for all about 2 minutes before he said, "just let me do it by myself." I was really hoping to capture a few more pix's but I guess I had all I could handle keeping myself and my chillin's vertical. What a fun night! This morning JD woke up in a great mood and came downstairs and said, "mom, I think we need to go have some more ice skating fun." We were there for 2 1/2 hours and had to beg JD to leave. What a perfect night!

WHat a crazy, funny last week!

So just earlier this week we had a visitor at our house, he was a bit too friendly, he had no problem walking right up to us, just typing makes me laugh:) We had just cleaned some fish...... you'll find about that later in the post and this little critter walked right into our garage, he then walked over to my shoe rack and started to chew on my boot shoestrings. When this little raccoon first walked into the garage, JD was standing out on the steps waiting for his dad to come back in from getting rid of the fish bones and the raccoon walked right up to him. He ran into the house soo frantically and was screaming and trembling saying, "mom don't open the door the raccoon is going to get me" I don't mean to laugh but that reminds me soo much of his dad when it comes to critters or snakes.

So then we call our friend Marve to come and take care of this little critter and I mentioned to him that it would be hard to "take care" of him because he seemed soo friendly, he kind of poo poooed me. At that point I had to go back into the house, I didn't want to witness anything else. Later, Rick comes back into the house and I asked him if he "got rid" of the raccoon and he told me that the raccoon walked right up to Marve and then he was then unable to "take care" of the raccoon. Instead the grown men put the raccoon put the raccoon into a cat carrier and Marve took him home and fed him a couple of bananas and went to drop him off at a wooded area and when he when he went to leave the raccoon followed him back to his truck............. he did leave him there:( Rick had thought that he might have been sick, but now were wondering if he had been someone's pet and maybe needed to be set free and he wondered over to our house.

Here are the kids already to go Ice fishing, we have been twice now and it has been soo much fun!

Here they are out on the ice, I had to leave to go replace an ice scoop 20 min's in because Miss Ella decided to drop it down the hole.
My fishing babes:)

This was our 2nd time out and we were catching them just as fast as we would put the bait down, it was soooo much fun, I think I had more fun than the kids, this is Conor below with his first fish this winter out of the ice:) ( and Miss Ella just checking things out)
Had to include a few pictures of Miss Ella eating peanut butter and jelly,............ she loves pnut butter and I love the mess:)

Look at those proud parents,.............. Calleigh is such a beautiful little girl!

This is our newest thing, the kiddo's need to be at the stove cooking with me all of the time, here we are making our 2nd batch of rice krispee treats, the first batch JD was too busy smiling for pix's and not stirring the mello's, (that's what he told me while we were throwing them away)
Isn't everyone glad they didn't get rice krispee treats from us last week!
